Pre-Charging Investigative Strategies

Milwaukee Criminal Attorney

By the time a person becomes aware that they are the subject of a law enforcement or regulatory investigation, those agencies have for the most part already assumed guilt and routinely refer the matter to the prosecutor for its "rubber-stamp". The Shellow Group, in virtually all instances, utilizes its in-house investigators during the initial client interview where strategies are developed quickly to obtain favorable information from a witness that invariably becomes less favorable as a result of the coercive and threatening tactics used by law enforcement when interviewing witnesses.

At the conclusion of the initial client interview, an investigative plan is developed and quickly implemented so that favorable information can be disseminated to those who will convey it to the authorities and unfavorable information is discredited at the earliest stage of litigation rather than later stages. Getting prosecutors and law enforcement to change their mind after they have committed to the prosecution of an individual is a daunting task. The Shellow Group's reputation for uncovering information, prior to charging that causes the prosecutor's case to derail is unmatched in white collar cases as well as those involving false accusations of child abuse and homicide.
