Milwaukee Defense LawyersRobin Shellow - Curriculum Vitae Robin Shellow: Robin Shellow’s unique approach to the defense of a criminal prosecution arises from a unique and complex background. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College without ever attending a day of High School and later received a 2nd Bachelors and a Master’s Degree at Cambridge University. Her Thesis was on the relationship between journalism and fiction in the Works of Arthur Koestler--which probably explains why she has intuitively had an adept hand at having the press tell her client’s most tragic and ironic stories. Whether it was an award winning piece on the front page of the New York Times about a child who came from four generations of homicide or a quip on the front page of the Milwaukee Journal after an acquittal in a federal fraud case, when appropriate Robin Shellow uses the press to her client's advantage. For reasons easy to see and reasons that are not so easy to see, Robin Shellow emerged as a lawyer whom judges, prosecutors and juries could trust. However, her most significant ability is an incredible intensity when she listens. She listens to what her client’s say and figures out what they want to say but can’t. She listens to their parents, coworkers and friends and learns what will motivate her client. She listens to the counselor and investigator on her staff and the psychologist who is virtually a member of the Shellow Group and incorporates their insights as she develops theories of defense and approaches to prosecutors to secure favorable recommendations for pretrial resolutions. She brings these understandings to her trials and juries recognize the truth as she carefully elicits it from witnesses. She tries each case as though the following day will be Judgment Day and she will be judged on this trial alone.
