Before law school, Urszula earned a Ph.D. in English from the University of Texas at Austin. She also taught college-level English, speech, argumentation, and writing classes at several U.S. colleges and universities and in her native Poland. She has cultivated her links with higher education by teaching statutory interpretation at Marquette University Law School.

In law school, Urszula was Notes and Comments Editor on the Intellectual Property Law Review. Before engaging in private practice, Urszula worked in the regulatory-compliance area of the legal department of a big health insurance corporation. 

Urszula specializes in appellate and post-conviction work, building on her prior experience as a writer and researcher. Her international experience is a valuable asset to The Shellow Group’s growing international practice.
